How to save TikTok videos without watermark, on phone or computer
Last updated 12 October 2026
PocketClip saves public TikTok videos as MP4 files without the watermark, the photos in slideshows as JPEGs, and the sound as MP3. All you need is the post’s link, which you get from TikTok’s share menu. There’s nothing to install and no account to create.
1. Copy the video’s link
In the TikTok app, open the video, tap the Share arrow on the right, then tap Copy link. On a computer, the address in your browser’s address bar works just as well.
TikTok links come in three forms, and all of them work:
https://www.tiktok.com/@name/video/7123456789012345678, the full link (/photo/instead of/video/for a slideshow)https://vm.tiktok.com/ZT…/, the short link the app copieshttps://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT…/, another short form
You don’t need to clean up anything at the end of the link, such as ?is_from_webapp=1.
2. Paste it into PocketClip
Open the TikTok downloader, paste the link into the box and tap Download. The home page works too: it recognizes TikTok links on its own. After a second or two, the video’s download options appear.
3. Pick a version
TikTok usually stores each video in more than one format, so you may see two video options:
- Options marked HEVC use a newer video format. They’re often sharper for their size, but some older phones and many Windows PCs can’t play them without extra software.
- The other video option uses the long-established H.264 format, which plays on almost every phone, computer and editing app. If you’re not sure which to pick, pick this one.
- Audio is the sound attached to the video, as an MP3. It isn’t offered for every video, because TikTok doesn’t always provide the sound as a separate file.
If you only want the sound, the TikTok to MP3 page puts the audio option first.
No watermark
The video you download is the one TikTok plays in its app, so it has no watermark: none of the TikTok logo and username that move around videos saved with TikTok’s own Save button, and no end screen. Text and stickers the creator added are part of the video itself, so they stay.
Photo slideshows
A slideshow lists each of its photos in full size, numbered in order. Tap Download on the ones you want, or Download all as ZIP to get them all in one file. If the slideshow has music, it’s offered as an MP3 above the photos. The TikTok slideshow downloader works the same way, and shows how to save photos rather than videos on each device.
4. Save it on your device
iPhone and iPad
- Tap Download, then tap Download again if Safari asks.
- Open the Files app and go to the Downloads folder. Safari saves files there unless you’ve changed its download location in Settings.
- Tap the video, tap the Share button, then Save Video (or Save Image for a photo) to add it to your Photos library.
Android
- Tap Download. Chrome shows a notification when the file is saved.
- The video is in your Downloads folder: open it in Files by Google, or find it in Google Photos or your Gallery app under the Downloads album.
Computer
Click Download and the file goes to your Downloads folder. If the video plays in a new tab instead, right-click it and choose Save video as.
If it doesn’t work
- Live streams can’t be downloaded.
- Private, deleted and region-locked videos aren’t available. TikTok answers the same way for a deleted video and one blocked in a region, so the message says the video may have been deleted.
- Profile links don’t work: paste the link to a single video or slideshow.
The guide to why a video won’t download explains every message PocketClip can show.
Before you save
Only save videos you made yourself or have the creator’s permission to use, and ask before reposting anything. Music in TikTok videos is usually copyrighted, so saving a sound doesn’t give you the right to use it in your own posts.
