Saving videos to your phone or computer

iPhone and iPad

  1. Tap the download button, then Download if Safari asks.
  2. Open the Files app and go to Downloads.
  3. Tap the video, then the Share button, then Save Video to add it to Photos.

If the video opens in a new tab instead, tap the Share button there and choose Save to Files.

Android

  1. Tap the download button.
  2. The file is saved to your Downloads folder.
  3. Find it in Gallery or Google Photos, under Downloads.

If the video opens instead, tap ⋮ in Chrome, then Download.

Computer

  1. Click the download button.
  2. The file is saved to your Downloads folder.

If the video opens in a new tab, right-click it and choose Save video as.

Saved a whole carousel as a ZIP file? Tap it in Files on iPhone, or open it in Files by Google on Android, to unzip the videos. On a computer, double-click it.

Questions

What audio do I get?

The sound TikTok attaches to the video, as an MP3. For original sounds that is the creator’s audio; for songs it is the clip used in the video.

Why is there no audio option for a video?

TikTok doesn't provide a separate sound file for every video. When it doesn't, only the video downloads are shown.

Can I use the music I download?

Music on TikTok is usually copyrighted. Only save and use audio you have the right to use.

Is it free?

Yes. There is nothing to pay and no account to create.

Can I download from private accounts?

No. Only public posts that anyone can watch without logging in. We never ask for your login and can't see private content.
